The employer didn't provide him any papers for labor cert but somehow he got hold of his I-140 notice approval. He only came to know about this after 3 years after his labor got approved and got I-140 approved. I have a friend who despite eligible for eb2, his employer filed in eb3 without his knowledge. (I had Humberto pegged as Mathilde's cousin or something, but the Internet assures me that they share a mother.) I suspect I will have an easier time when the sex and maniacal machinations start.I agree with you completely ! I wish and pray Interfilers and labor substitution applicants rot in hell. I'm less certain how all the characters relate to one another, especially when it comes to the supporting characters in the two households. Understanding the gist of this episode had less to do with my execrable Spanish (and absent Russian) and more to do with my deep familiarity with soap-opera conventions and how to parse swelling background music, mustache-stroking henchmen, domineering mothers, and moody heroes. Amor Real, I suspect, is going to train me not to read subtitles. Not only do the subtitles fail to clarify things for me, they are a terrible distraction as the characters on screen complete one triumphant Spanish sentence and move on to the next. This is not a winning solution in terms of Amor Real, because while my Spanish is shaky, my Russian is nonexistent.
Trained as I have been by years of subtitled foreign fare, my natural tendency is to pay attention to the words on the screen before I look at anything else. The only copies of Amor Real I could find were subtitled in Russian, which makes viewing the episodes an interesting experience. Terrible things clearly lurk on the horizon. Mathilde does not know that Manuel exists. Also, Manuel thinks Mathilde is pretty and knows that her family's finances are in a bad way. Humberto, Mathilde's brother, is accruing debts.
